It’s springtime, warm weather is approaching, and Easter is upon us! Like any proper holiday, you are probably throwing a party or small get-together, and need some ideas for appropriate cocktails to serve for a good springtime treat! Margarita
A margarita is a tried and true favorite and always welcomed and anticipated at parties and events. Generally served in a margarita glass, it can be prepared on ice (on-the-rocks) or blended. A salted or sugared rim around the glass is optional, but almost always preferred. Margaritas are a refreshing drink on a warm spring day.
Recipe:
1.5 ounces Tequila
.75ounces Triple Sec
.75 ounces Lime Juice
Serve blended or shaken and strained, in a margarita glass. Garnish with a lime wedge. Salt the rim of the glass.
Whiskey Sour/ Amaretto Sour
The good ol’ Whiskey Sour. This is one of the staple cocktails of all occasions, popular all over the United States and at all events, from parties to nightclubs. Slightly sweet, slightly sour, it balances the flavors in a delightful twist!
Recipe:
1.5 ounces Bourbon or Amaretto
1.5 ounces Sweet and Sour
.75 ounces Egg White (optional)
Shake well and serve in an Old Fashioned glass with ice. Garnish with a cherry.
Mai Tai
A fruity concoction sure to make your guests reminisce about fun in the sun! Always a favorite! This is a great drink to enjoy while watching an Easter egg hunt, sitting in the sunshine, or digging in to sweet holiday treats!
Recipe:
1.5 ounces white rum
.5 ounces amaretto
.5 ounces Triple Sec
1 ounce Sweet and Sour
Shake and strain into a hurricane glass
Top off with .75 ounces of dark rum and 1-ounce pineapple juice
Easter Daiquiri
Daiquiris are one of the simplest cocktails, a sweet drink that can be flavored any way that you want, depending on your party theme! These beverages are always popular and are quite tasty, and a delicious addition to a party filled with sweets! For an Easter party, try a strawberry or melon daiquiri garnish option!
Recipe:
1.5 ounces light rum
.5 ounces simple syrup
1-ounce lime juice
Serve in a cocktail glass and garnish with strawberries, cherries, or melon slices for a pastel Easter theme.
Lemon Drop
A colorful, pastel drink and also a classic. Usually served in a cocktail glass, but feel free to get creative in a party setting by putting them in mugs, or colorful plastic glasses! This is a simple yet delicious drink with only a few ingredients- it is easy to make and will impress your guests!
Recipe:
1.5 ounces vodka
.75 ounces lemon juice
.5 ounces simple syrup

Cucumber Martini
An amazingly refreshing spring cocktail in a holiday appropriate pastel shade is the Cucumber Martini! Cool and refreshing, this drink will have everyone in the mood for an egg hunt and some Easter fun! This is a good option for guests who prefer a drink that is palatable but not *too sweet.
Recipe:
muddle 3-4 cucumber slices, 2 mint leaves, 5 ounces of simple syrup
2 ounces vodka or Hendrick’s gin
.5 ounces lime juice
Shake and double strain. Serve in a cocktail glass and garnish with a cucumber!
Irish Coffee
For your hot coffee loving party guests, this is a tried and true favorite! Wind down the evening with a coffee flavored beverage to keep your soiree going long into the night!
Recipe:
1.5 ounces Irish whiskey
1 tbsp brown sugar
fill with hot coffee
stir and top off with 1 oz fresh cream
Serve in a coffee mug.
Mexican Coffee
Another of a variety of good coffee cocktails, sure to impress your guests and leave them feeling cozy for an evening with family and friends. This sweet drink is served hot and in your favorite coffee mug.
Recipe:
.75 ounces tequila
.75 ounces Kahlua
fill with hot coffee
stir and top with whipped cream
Serve in a coffee mug.
