You’re here, so you’re already thinking about going to bartending school to become a bartender. Congratulations! There are logically two paths that you can choose; a class on campus, or an online class. Students are in need of classes that fit in with their busy lives. Many students have part time or full time jobs, childcare, and other everyday activities that often make school difficult to attend. Many people think that an online bartending school would be the easiest solution, with more flexible schedules than an on-campus class. This is, however, not always the case.
We at National Bartending School understand that life is hectic, and busy; therefor we have designed an on-campus program that works for you! We have flexible class scheduling, with classes six days per week, up to three times per day. Much like an online class, you can choose when you want to attend. In addition, you can come and log practical hours during the day when class is not in session! With this formula, every student can make this curriculum work for them.
Location, Location, Location!
We have schools in many areas of Los Angeles County and San Diego County, so finding a campus near you is simple! We know that traveling great distances to school is not easy to do, so we have done our best to make our campuses conveniently located to as many students as possible. Check our locations– there is a school nearby just waiting for you to attend!
Behind the Bar Experience is a Must!
While online schools provide a great environment for some individuals, bartenders and future bartenders tend to be very people-oriented individuals. They thrive in an environment where they build relationships with teachers and classmates. To work in a bar, you need to become comfortable working with a wide variety of people, in a crowded workspace. You can learn all of the recipes for drinks at an online school, of course, but the practical behind-the-bar knowledge is only available to you if you are actually learning behind a bar.
Practice Speed and Efficiency
When you get out into the world and want to find a job as a bartender, bar managers will not be looking solely for drink memorization. They will want a bartender who knows their way around a bar. Employers will look for someone who is quick and can think on their feet, and who is great with customers. Bar owners and managers want a bartender who can multitask, and is familiar with the layout of a typical bar. They want someone who is a team player and is well versed in being around others, and knows how to make the most of the limited bar space that they have.
They will also want someone who knows all of the tips and tricks that only a veteran bartending instructor can teach you, and that you can learn through practical application. These are all things that cannot be learned or practiced through an online school. These, however, are all things that we specialize in here at National Bartending School.
Enthusiasm is Key
In addition to being conveniently located, and the extra knowledge you will obtain when attending an on-campus class, there is always enthusiasm and drive to think about. It is easy to put off doing online bartending school classes. Putting off your work until late is very simple to do, and then “later” becomes “never.” When you have a place to go, people to see, and work to get done, your need to complete a task grows. It is easier to stay on track when you have somewhere to go for school. National Bartending gives you that place, all on your own time!
Job Placement
As well as practical experience, an online bartending school cannot offer you job placement during school. National Bartending School offers this perk exclusively to it’s students. This work experience can help pad your resume to help you get a job as a bartender once you complete school and pass your testing! Online schools cannot provide this benefit.
National Bartending is Waiting For You!
While there are definitely good reasons to attend an online bartending school, going to one on campus and learning through a multifaceted, hands -on approach is always the best way. Here at National Bartending School, we want to prepare you for as many employment opportunities as we can. Out teachers are here to give you that knowledge!
